As Chinese New Year of the Rat is approaching soon on 7 February 2008, the annual mass ‘exodus’ or migration back to their hometowns in China has already begun a week or two ago.
Businesses are either on reduced production or closed till end February 2008 for the long holidays. The whole nation celebrates the new year,human movements are controlled and staggered to avoid total melt down of the transports and road systems.
